GP-SI General Purpose Quick Silicone Sealant is a one component, general purpose sealant from Fischer. It is a high grade acetic cure silicone sealant that produces flexible elastomeric on exposure to moisture at room temperatures, which allows for fast and strong sealing. GP- SI is a product that is suitable for common construction and glazing applications. It’s easy to apply and fixes strongly on a variety of non- porous substances like glass, glazed ceramic tiles and aluminium.

Where all can you apply GP-SI General Purpose Quick Silicone Sealant

GP- SI is an ideal choice for jointing in construction. Its high resistance to ozone, ultra-violet radiation and extreme temperatures makes it a popular choice in the building industry. It can be used for joints between wood, metal window frames, UPVC doors and windows, concrete brickwork, joints between concrete and ceiling elements, between wall and ceiling skirting boards etc. GP- SI sealant can be used for the following needs:

How to Apply GP-SI General Purpose Quick Silicone Sealant

  • Make sure the joint design is correct.
  • Clean and dry the joint surface on both new and old jobs. Solvent-wash all new surface materials with a wet brush and an oil-free solvent.
  • Use masking tape to create precise bead lines. Masking tape should be removed immediately after a bead is completed
  • Do not break the cartridge seal until just before use.
  • Apply sealant to dry, clean surfaces. Use an air-operated or hand operated cartridge gun.
  • Tool joint, if necessary, immediately after sealant is applied and before the skin begins to form. Do not use soap or oil as a tool aid.
  • Remove masking tape immediately after tooling is completed
